A. J. (Al) Toepfer


A. J. Toepfer has pursued photography as a hobby for over 40 years. Recently retired, he has traveled extensively for business and pleasure, and has photographed in the U.S., Europe, Russia, South America, Japan and Antarctica. Landscape, wildlife, travel, and hot air balloons are his main subjects. His balloon and wildlife images have won a number of awards, including 1st place in the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Photo Contest (1988), and 1st place in the International Wildlife Film Festival photo contest (1992). He is a member of the Enchanted Lens Camera Club in Albuquerque.
